Fairy tale, the tales of fairies and angels and prince and princess. Tales of innocent love, dreamy lands, clear skies, green grass, and deep emotions. When a prince comes riding in a handsome white horse and woos the princess away. Of course they live happily ever after.
We all grew up listening to fairy tales. In our teens, we fell in love with every prince we came across. Then we grew up more, became adults. Still we never clogged ourselves from falling in love over and over again. Sometimes love was just a smile and sometimes it was a life long bond. We met love in different forms and feelings, sometimes we acknowledged and others we missed. But love kept impending back to us. The prince and princess living happily ever after had the deepest influence perpetually. Fairylands changed to fiction-lands, prince transformed into iron men, but love never left us.
Cinderella fell in love and so does every woman, at least once in her life. Sometimes their prince comes in that handsome white horse before twelve and sometimes its past midnight. Still the princess within us keeps waiting; it’s the most innocent wait within a woman’s heart. Do we all live happily then? We take plunge into the ocean of life and discover love in our own fairylands.
Last night was Diwali, the festival of lights. My friend sent me some pictures of her house. Her house looked like a Fairyland. Lamps, candles, hovering curtains, the light playing a mysterious hide and seek. I think it was her way of finding that fairyland where she was waiting for her unknown prince to ride down and woo her. Sometimes, the only thing we need to do, is just wait…!

“We reap what we sow. We are the makers of our own fate. The wind is blowing; those vessels whose sails are unfurled catch it, and go forward on their way, but those which have
their sails furled do not catch the wind. Is that the fault of the wind?”
